Quarantine Tank Setup for Saltwater Fish

Every saltwater fish should be quarantined before entering your display tank. Setup: 10-20 gallon bare-bottom tank, sponge filter (seeded in display sump), heater, PVC fittings for hiding spots, and dim lighting. Quarantine protocol: observe for 2 weeks, treat with copper (2.0 ppm therapeutic level) or use tank transfer method every 72 hours for 4 transfers. Always have Praziquantel on hand for internal parasites. This single practice will save you from devastating tank losses.
