Purple Tang (Zebrasoma xanthurum)

A Red Sea icon with a deep violet body speckled in blue and a brilliant yellow tail. Extremely hardy and a superb algae eater, but assertive, so add it last among tangs. Give it strong flow, open swimming space and dried algae several times a week. Reef safe. Minimum 125 gallons.
